Employment Generation Increased by 36% During Past Decade

This significant job creation has been a key driver of India's economic growth.

Employment growth has been observed in sectors like manufacturing, services and agriculture.

According to Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya who is Union Minister of Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, the number of employed people in India rose by 36%.

In 2014-15, 47.15 crore people were employed and now in 2023-24, 64.33 crore people are employed.
